Nokia 7200 review
Network and connections
Lacking any special connections that would make it usable as a tool for high-speed data transfer, the Nokia 7200 cell phone falls into the mid-range in this respect. It is in fact a so-called Dual Band device, which therefore supports communication on the two most classic GSM frequencies, at 900 and 1800 Mhz to be precise. That said, it should only be added that as for other types of connections, EDGE, GPRS and IrDa are supported, but not Bluetooth.
Design and features
The design is elegant, the dimensions compact, the weight average. This is how the Nokia 7200 is characterized in terms of looks, with a volume of 69 cc and a weight that reaches 115 grams, but only when including the batteries. The dimensions are 86 x 50 x 26 millimeters, where the first value indicates the height, the second the width and the last the depth of the phone. Remarkable, however, for this product category, is the TFT display, which has a resolution of 128x128 pixels and allows the display of 65,000 colors. It is a clamshell phone that also has a second external monochrome display. The package includes the user manual, earphone, battery charger, and a BL-4C battery that allows 5 hours of continuous talk time and 300 hours of standby without recharging.
Main features
Among the main functions during calls, we can mention the speakerphone for hands-free calling. The ringtones are all 16-tone polyphonic, and among those installed there are also some in MP3 format. Screensavers, wallpapers and themes are customizable, obviously from among the preinstalled ones. The display is very readable and has large characters. Countdown timer, stopwatch, alarm clock, agenda, calculator and flashlight use round out the overview. Messaging offers only SMS and MMS.
Entertainment and multimedia
The FM radio is the main entertainment tool offered by the Nokia 7200 model, and it is also the only one, except for an MPEG4 Video Player. Useful and practical is the dedicated One Touch key: with this it is possible to instantly activate radio mode. There are no other forms of entertainment, except for the three preinstalled games (Backgammon, Disco and Bowling) and animated screensavers, logos and wallpapers. The 4 MB of internal memory, therefore, besides constituting a significant amount, still makes it possible to add new games or programs, using the appropriate connections.
