Nokia 6822 review

The Nokia 6822 combines advanced messaging functions with standard voice functions, in a single compact product, designed to simplify mobile communication. Based on the unmistakable extended-keyboard design, the Nokia 6822 features among its characteristics a high-resolution color display with 65,536 colors (128 x 128 pixels) and an integrated VGA camera, with video clip and night modes, audio and video clip recording and playback. The Series 40 user interface offers customizable pre-installed themes such as wallpapers, screensavers, color schemes and ringtones. The Nokia 6822 supports Java MIDP 2.0 and makes it easy to download complex applications, with two pre-installed trial applications that can be used free of charge for the first 15 times.

The 3.5 Mb internal memory is shared among contacts, Sms, Mms, ringtones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do lists and Java applications. The Nokia 6822 is also equipped with Bluetooth and infrared wireless technology for synchronizing contact, calendar, to-do and note data with a compatible PC (locally, using Nokia PC-Suite). Messaging is based on an e-mail client for connecting to corporate and personal mail, support for BlackBerry e-mail connectivity for encoded 'push' e-mail, Instant Messaging, Mms functionality for receiving, editing and sending text messages, audio and voice files, video clips and images, and sending and receiving concatenated messages of up to 459 characters.
