Network and connections

Nokia 6800 is a Dual-band GSM cell phone, able to use 2 different frequencies: 900 and 1800 Mhz. It also integrates HSCSD and GPRS technology, for data transfer over the mobile network. Connection to a PC can take place via a normal USB cable, while IrDa wireless technology allows for quick file exchange and the use of numerous compatible accessories. The available screen is able to display 4096 colors, with a resolution of 128x128 pixels. Finally, the 1000 mAh lithium battery guarantees good autonomy.

Design and features

This new Nokia model has a particular look. It falls into the category of so-called "standard" cell phones, but it has an opening on both sides of the display to unfold the QWERTY keyboard. On the outside it has a few keys to activate the most important functions without having to open the case. Nokia 6800 definitely comes across as a compact and versatile device. The device measures 119 millimeters in height, 55 millimeters in width and 23 millimeters in depth. The weight is 122 grams, including the battery. Moreover, the antenna is internal and does not affect the handling of the cell phone in any way.

Main features

Nokia 6800 is a very functional cell phone. It has the very useful built-in speakerphone, multi-conferencing, voice command calling and Voice Memo. Other more common functions are the alarm clock, organizer, calculator and currency converter. As for messaging, the cell phone supports the main standards, namely SMS, EMS, MMS and E-mail, with the help of the T9 predictive text system. The memory is not expandable.

Entertainment and multimedia

The model is equipped with a decent radio tuner for FM frequencies. It is also possible to try out the various Java games present on the cell phone, with the possibility of downloading new ones through the built-in WAP browser. This cell phone is not equipped with a built-in camera. Finally, the ringtones are 4-tone polyphonic, or monophonic. The phonebook holds up to 300 contacts.
