Nokia 6280 review

Network and connections

Nokia 6280's connectivity is decidedly complete.
Being a Dual Mode terminal, it is able to
switch automatically from the UMTS network to the GSM one, and
vice versa. It's a Tri-band model, so it is capable of using
three different frequencies: 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz. Compatibility
is worldwide, thanks also to EDGE and
GPRS type data support, with the addition of third generation
services. Completing the picture are the built-in Bluetooth wireless
technology, IrDa, and the USB port.

Design and features

Nokia 6280's design is of the slider type. The antenna is internal
and the body is well finished and sturdy, with sinuous rather than
square lines. This model's structure, besides the elegance
of its shapes, enhances its handiness as well as its
ease of use. The 6280 is available in Silver color and has
easily accessible controls.

Main features

Nokia 6280 allows the use and sending of messages in Sms, Mms
and e-mail format, aided by the T9 simplified
writing system. Thanks to 3G support the device allows
video calls and the management of
video messages. It also has a built-in speakerphone,
thanks to which you can call hands-free, even in
multiconference mode. With the Push To Talk system you can
use the phone as if it were a walkie talkie. The
model is also equipped with a voice recorder and voice call
functionality. Memory capacity is 10 MB,
expandable via miniSD cards.

Entertainment and multimedia

The included camera is excellent. Thanks to its 2 Megapixel sensor, it allows
the capture of images with a maximum resolution
of 1600x1200 pixels. This, besides being equipped
with 8x digital zoom, allows the recording of video clips. There is also
an internal, low-definition video camera,
dedicated mainly to video calls. This model also has
FM radio and an MP3 music file player.
Java technology allows the use of dedicated games and applications,
which can also be downloaded from the internet via the
built-in browser.
