Nokia 6250 review
Network and connections
Very similar to the previous 6230, the Nokia 6250 model comes as a Dual Band cell phone, but with the added value of a Wap browser that allows access to the Web. An absolute novelty for the period in which this model was introduced, announced in the year 2000. The device's two operating frequencies are the classic ones, 900 and 1800 Mhz, for use restricted to European soil only. There is an IrDa port.
Design and features
Single-body like all Nokia cell phones from the early period and beyond, almost identical to the 6230 that preceded it, the Nokia 6250 is a model available in original colors and with interchangeable covers. It weighs 167 grams with standard battery included and features a single monochrome display with 6 lines of text. The dimensions are: 142 x 58 x 27 millimeters, with a total volume of 159 cc. The internal battery is 1200 mAh and offers up to 336 hours of battery life (phone idle) or 4 hours and 50 minutes (phone in call mode).
Main functions
Futuristic for the time of its introduction, the 6250 offers three important resources. First, the ability to view Web pages thanks to support for the Wap browser. Second, Voice Dial, through which you can store a recording of a name to associate with contacts in the phonebook, so you can later call them quickly by saying that name. Finally, T9 mode for SMS, which is thus supported with intuitive and fast writing capability. The phonebook stores up to 500 contacts.
Entertainment and multimedia
No multimedia resources are present on the Nokia 6250 cell phone. As for entertainment, we can mention the three built-in games: Snake II, Pairs II, and Opposite. 30 monophonic ringtones are available, but another 7 can be composed as desired using the Composer. Six tone levels for ringtones and ten volume levels for the phone. Additional games can be downloaded via Wap.
