Nokia 6230i review

The Nokia 6230i cell phone brings to mind the design of the Nokia 6230, but inside it holds more new features, such as the brighter active matrix display (TFT), with up to 65,536 colors, with a resolution of 208 x 208 pixels. The camera resolution has been increased to 1.3 megapixels, in order to enhance images for printing. Internal memory is 32 MB but removable Memory cards can be used (up to 512 MB). The cell phone can be used as a tool for storing photos, music, documents and presentations. The Nokia 6230i offers versatility with Bluetooth wireless technology, infrared, Pop-Port, a USB port (which supports Plug-and-play) and GPRS/EDGE networks, for transmitting files from the cell phone to the PC.

The Nokia 6230i records video clips in 3GPP QCIF file format and up to an hour of video (the length varies depending on the amount of memory available on the cell phone or on the Memory card). It prints images directly from the cell phone via a Bluetooth wireless connection or using a Memory card (depending on the printer). It also backs up important files such as presentations and documents, or simply stores images on the personal mobile device for storage. It is also equipped with a Push to talk over cellular (PoC) function that allows the cell phone to be used like a walkie-talkie, and with Java MIDP 2.0 support that simplifies downloading new applications.
