Nokia 6130 review

Network and connections

The model called 6130 is one of the oldest cell phones from the manufacturer Nokia. Its presentation dates back to 1998, when owning a cell phone was still the prerogative of a few. Thus, this model (more or less contemporary with the "legendary" 3210 and 3310) integrates only one single connectivity, GSM on the single frequency of 1800 Mhz. It also features an infrared IrDa port.

Design and features

Typical design of older-concept cell phones: a non-integrated antenna protruding from the body in the upper right part, a monobloc look with very high dimensions and weight. There is a single monochrome display with 5 lines of text. The phone weighs as much as 152 grams, has a height of 141 millimeters, a width of 48 millimeters, and a very high thickness of 25 millimeters. Total volume is 143 cc. The most effective battery among the various available ones offers battery life of 5-8 hours of talk time and up to 380 hours on standby.

Main functions

The range of functions beyond simple calling is truly very limited. The phone integrates an alarm clock and a clock. The menu can be displayed in as many as 15 different languages. The available colors are Green or Blue, but with covers it is possible to change the phone's look. The 6130 model allows storage of the last 10 calls made and the last 10 missed or received calls. Phonebook with 125 contacts.

Entertainment and multimedia

It's impossible to talk about multimedia features for a cell phone presented in 1998. Entertainment is also decidedly scarce, with only three built-in games, Memory, Snake and Logic, offering something to the user. Ringtones are monophonic and available in a number of 16. Given the lack of connections, it is impossible to add new games or ringtones. Messaging is limited to sending and receiving classic SMS.
