Nokia 6101 review
The features of the Nokia 6101 include messaging functions covering audio messages, e-mail and Mms, two color displays, video clip recording and playback, stereo FM radio, an xHTML browser, Edge and Gprs technology. Tri-Band GSM network coverage makes it possible to communicate with people across up to five continents, with automatic switching between bands. It is also equipped with a push to talk function, which allows you to talk in single or group mode simply by pressing a key. By pressing the key once, everyone can hear your voice, while releasing the key lets you hear the voices of others.
The built-in VGA camera has a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels with a dedicated key for normal, portrait and night mode, a gallery for storing and editing images, and three image quality options (high, normal, basic). The external display also works as a viewfinder, so you can use the self-timer, while the internal display lets you take traditional photos.
The Nokia 6101 supports local synchronization of image galleries, contacts and calendar with a compatible PC via Nokia PC Suite, the downloading of games and applications based on Java technology, and infrared connectivity. It also lets you set MP3 tracks and polyphonic/MIDI tones as ringtones and alerts, and features a built-in video player, voice recognition commands, a voice recorder and speakerphone. The internal memory shared between contacts, Sms, Mms, ringtones, images, video clips, calendar notes, appointments and applications is 4.4 Mb.
