Network and connections


Nokia 6085 is a "Quad-band" mobile phone, capable of operating
on the GSM network at frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz.
Data connectivity, in addition to GPRS support (class 10), offers
EDGE technology, which guarantees good performance but not
comparable to that of 3G terminals. This phone allows
interfacing with other compatible devices thanks to the
wireless Bluetooth connection, while the infrared port (IrDa) is
absent. The USB cable, on the other hand, allows
synchronization with a computer.



Design and features


This is a mobile phone with a compact and rounded design,
with a "clamshell" opening. It is a sturdy and reasonably
well-finished device, with a contained weight. The antenna
is integrated into the body of the device and does not, therefore, limit its
handling. The clamshell opening, moreover, allows
good protection of the internal part including the display and
the keyboard. Nokia 6085, finally, does not provide for the use of interchangeable
covers and is distributed in the colors "black"
(nero), "sand gold" (oro), "royal pink" (rosa) and "seagull silver"
(grigio).



Main features


Regarding messaging, Nokia 6085 allows you to work
with every kind of format. It allows, in fact, managing
Sms, Ems, Mms and e-mail type messages, with the help
of the T9 predictive text system. The phone also has
built-in vibration and integrated hands-free, usable
during conversations. It is also possible to record short
voice Memos and voice call functions are provided.
Video calls are obviously not supported,
while "video streaming" allows live viewing of video
content.



Entertainment and multimedia


Memory expandability, besides being possible, is
necessary to fully exploit the possibilities of the built-in MP3
player. Through microSD cards, in fact, it is possible
to expand the memory beyond the basic 4 MB. The 6085 model is
equipped with AM/FM radio, a useful function to while away the time
during the day. There are then, preinstalled, the Sudoku
game, 3D Golf and Galaxy balls. Moreover, thanks to Java
support and the system browser, it is possible to get new
ones, even by downloading them from the network. Integrated into the device is a
VGA camera with 0.3 Megapixel, capable of reaching a
maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. It has a 4x digital
zoom and self-timer.
