Network and connections
The Nokia 6060 is a GSM cell phone with a Dual Band network interface, meaning it operates on 900 and 1800 Mhz frequencies. Data connectivity is provided by the now outdated GPRS technology, reliable but slow. Using the appropriate USB cable, it is possible to connect the device to a computer, but unfortunately no wireless connection, Bluetooth or IrDa, is available.
Design and features
The Nokia 6060 cell phone has a rather simple design, with a clamshell opening. The dimensions are intermediate and the weight of the device is also moderately contained. The antenna is external and the model's color is black with gray inserts. The keyboard, finally, is backlit and features rounded keys of medium size.
Main features
The Nokia 6060 has some useful functions to simplify its use. These include the built-in speakerphone, voice-command calling and audio recording, which can also be used during a conversation. There is also the possibility of making a multi-conference call with several users simultaneously. The internal memory is 3.2 Megabytes and, unfortunately, cannot be expanded in any way through expansion cards. As for messaging, the Nokia 6060 supports Sms, Mms and messages with drawings. Calendar and alarm clock complete the picture of basic features.
Entertainment and multimedia
This cell phone integrates an MP3 player for listening to music files. The Nokia 6060, on the other hand, does not have a built-in digital camera, nor a radio. As for ringtones, the Nokia 6060 supports 16-tone polyphonic melodies, with the possibility of downloading new ones from the network through the WAP browser. There are also two pre-installed games and, in this case too, it is possible to get new ones thanks to Java (J2ME) compatibility. Unfortunately, the available functions are not very numerous and turn out to be only the strictly necessary ones. The absence of a built-in camera does not allow capturing images or video sequences. Furthermore, the lack of Bluetooth connectivity does not allow for quick exchange of content with friends.
