Nokia 5070 review
Network and connections
Well equipped on the connections side, the Nokia 5070 cell phone was introduced in March 2007. Tri-Band on the 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz GSM frequencies, the phone also features a GPRS class 10 connection, EDGE class 6 and the Wap browser for Internet access. It also has a USB port and an infrared port for wireless connection. Based on the available connections, this phone can be used both in Europe and in the United States.
Design and features
Distinctive in shape, very rounded and with the keyboard taking up more space than the display, the Nokia 5070 comes with the classic monoblock design typical of the Finnish company. It has a single CSTN display with a resolution of 128x160 pixels and 65,000 displayed colors. It weighs 88 grams and has dimensions of 105.4x44.3x18.6 millimeters along with a total volume of 73 cc. 300 hours of standby time and 3.5 hours of talk time is the battery life provided by the included 860 mAh lithium battery.
Main functions
For hands-free calls, the built-in speakerphone function is present. Voice Memo allows voice notes to be recorded, while Voice Command allows voice commands to be set and paired with contacts in the phonebook. The photo caller ID also allows each contact to be associated with an image that will appear when the saved contact makes a call. 24-tone polyphonic ringtones, push to talk, calendar and calculator round out the picture.
Entertainment and multimedia
The entertainment and multimedia resources are good. The music side is not neglected, with the presence of a stereo FM radio and a Video Music Player for listening to your favorite tracks. There is also a camera, albeit with a low resolution of 0.3 Megapixel (640x480 pixel VGA photos); this also allows for the recording of short videos (compatible with the 4 MB internal memory). The messaging system allows for the management of SMS, MMS, E-Mail and Instant Messaging.
