Nokia 3610 review

Network and connections

The 3610 model, introduced by Nokia in 2002, was not particularly successful, since the previous 3510 was very popular and also had a greater number of built-in features. For example, as far as the connections available: this phone is a simple Dual Band (900 and 1800 Mhz the supported GSM networks), which adds to these two bands only the Wap 1.1 browser, not even including the GPRS connection which was already present on some earlier models.

Design and features

A first step toward a lighter body, the Nokia 3610 comes in at a weight of 92 grams. It has a height of 105 millimeters, a width of 45 mm and a depth of 22 mm, for a total volume of 79 cc. The design is a monoblock with interchangeable covers as is the case in less recent models. The built-in display has a resolution of 96x65 pixels and 5 lines of text. Included is a lithium battery of 830 mAh with a stand-by life of up to 170 hours and talk time of up to 3 hours and 50 minutes.

Main functions

A phonebook for 200 contacts and storage of the 20 most recent calls made, the last 10 missed calls and received calls round out the phone's memory features. Among its main functions it also includes a calculator, an image editor and the ability to send messages with images. An alarm clock and a clock complete a very modest picture. The ringtones are all monophonic. Worth noting is the possibility of enabling vibration.

Entertainment and multimedia

Entertainment resources are also scarce. The six built-in games offer a decent selection, here are their names: Dance 2 Music, Link 5, Bumper, Space Impact, Snake II and Magic Draw. With the Wap connection there is the opportunity to download new games, but Java support is not indicated. Messaging allows sending and receiving SMS and MMS with T9 predictive text input. Music and photo features are absent.
