Nokia 3510i review
Network and connections
A reissue of the 3510 model, launched in the fourth quarter of 2002 on the wave of success of its predecessor, the Nokia 3510i is a cell phone that operates on two GSM networks, 900 and 1800 Mhz. It also features a GPRS class connection as well as a Wap browser that allows access to the Web. These are the only connections available. The use of the model is therefore limited to network coverage on the European continent.
Design and features
The main improvement over the previous model lies in the built-in display: we move from the monochrome screen of the 3510 to this CSTN display with 4096 colors fitted on the 3510i. The screen resolution is 96x65 pixels. The design is, as usual, a standard monobloc, with a total weight of 106 grams, dimensions of 118x50x17 millimeters and a total volume of 98 cc. The body is Gold in color, though the covers can be interchanged.
Main functions
The Voice Dial, that is, the ability to pair voice commands with some contacts in the phonebook, is the most significant function during calls. Also worth mentioning are the currency converter, the calculator, and the calendar. The phonebook can hold up to 500 contacts, while the phone's dynamic memory allows storage of the last 20 calls made, the last 10 received, and the last 10 missed. The ringtones are polyphonic with 4 tones.
Entertainment and multimedia
Being a cell phone of not-so-recent design, the multimedia aspect is practically nonexistent. There is therefore no camera and no music resources. Java support offers the possibility of downloading games from the Web in addition to those preinstalled. Messaging, which supports SMS and MMS, makes use of the T9 fast writing system. Through the Wap connection and thus access to the Web, it is also possible to download new ringtones.
