Nokia 3310 review

Network and connections

The 3310 model was introduced by the Finnish manufacturer Nokia in the year 2000. At that time, connection capabilities were not very advanced. This is therefore a Dual Band model: it sends and receives data on the GSM frequencies of 900 and 1800 Mhz. It therefore operates only in European territory and cannot be used, for example, in the United States. It does not feature any other type of connection, not even a browser for connecting to the Web.

Design and features

In keeping with the styles that have characterized Nokia throughout its history, especially in its less recent history, the model comes with a standard design and a one-piece structure, although already with an integrated antenna. The only display is monochrome and allows 5 lines of text to be displayed. The weight is 133 grams, with a total volume of 97 cc. The model has a height of 113 millimeters, a width of 48 millimeters, and a thickness of 22 millimeters. The internal 1000 mAh battery allows for use of up to 245 hours in stand-by and 4.5 hours in talk time.

Main functions

Worth noting right away is the presence of Voice Dial, a very advanced function for the period in which this phone was introduced: this is the option that allows a voice note recording to be associated with each contact in the address book, so that you can quickly contact them simply by saying their name. Calculator, converter, 6 ringtone volume levels, 10 volume levels, storage of 8 missed calls, 8 received calls, and 8 dialed calls, are the other functions worth mentioning.

Entertainment and multimedia

Multimedia features are absent due to the limited connections with the outside world. As for entertainment, there are four built-in games: Snake II, Pairs II, Bantumi, and Space Impact. Messaging supports SMS with intuitive writing thanks to T9 software, as well as Chat mode for SMS messages themselves. There are 37 built-in monophonic ringtones and the possibility of composing 7 more as desired.
