Nokia 3250 review
Network and connections
Nokia 3250 is a Tri-band GSM terminal, meaning it can operate on the 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz frequencies. The data transfer mode is GPRS. Bluetooth connectivity is also present, for exchanging files with other wireless devices or for using many dedicated accessories. For synchronization with the PC, there is instead a USB port.
Design and equipment
The look of Nokia 3250 is very distinctive. Its rotating design is very characteristic and underlines its versatility. No matter which way you turn it, this device always has something to offer: camera, music player or simple phone. Despite the wealth of features, its weight is rather light (115 grams), as are its dimensions. The antenna is built-in and the purchase kit includes the battery charger, a CD-ROM containing the Nokia PC Suite software, the memory card and an adapter.
Main features
In addition to the classic services, it's worth mentioning the built-in speakerphone, voice command calling, the audio recorder and "multi-conferencing". This model allows the management and sending of messages in Sms, Mms and e-mail format. T9 technology is available to the user for easier text composition. Third-generation services, typically offered by UMTS devices, are not supported.
Entertainment and multimedia
The 10 MB memory can easily be expanded via MicroSD cards. This expansion can prove useful especially for making full use of the built-in MP3/AAC player's potential. Also very useful is the built-in FM radio, while the digital camera proves to be of excellent quality. With a sensor resolution of 2 Megapixels, the latter allows images to be captured at high resolutions: up to 1600x1200 pixels. Finally, Java compatibility allows the use of the two pre-installed games and the addition of new ones, even via download through the built-in browser.
