Nokia 3210 review

Network and connections

The 3210 model also made cellphone history, and in particular it was one of the most popular devices from the Finnish company in the late 90s. As for network resources, however, the model doesn't offer much: it's a simple Dual Band GSM, meaning it only receives at 900 and 1800 Mhz. This network coverage limits its use to the European continent only. No other connectivity is present.

Design and features

It was perhaps the first cellphone to anticipate a more modern design compared to the early days of mobile telephony: integrated antenna, obviously a one-piece design but with rounded, youthful corners. Weight still above average, 151 grams, with dimensions of 123.8x50.5x22.5 millimeters. Monochrome display with 5 lines of text. The included lithium-ion battery has a battery life of a few hours.

Main functions

What can we say about the main functions? Beyond the simple calling aspect, and that of a primitive messaging system that only supports SMS, but without the possibility of predictive text input and without concatenation, there isn't much else to mention. We could talk about the interchangeable covers, or the 6 tone levels for (monophonic) ringtones; or again, the 10 settable volume levels and vibration while charging, as well as the 8 stored contacts (missed, sent, and received calls).

Entertainment and multimedia

In this case there is no multimedia aspect to this cellphone, since the types of connections that would make it feasible are completely absent. Entertainment is therefore entrusted solely to games: there are three preinstalled ones, namely Rotation, Snake, and Memory. It's not possible to integrate anything given the absence of a Web connection. It is possible to compose a ringtone.
