Nokia 2630 review
Network and connections
Even though it was introduced recently, in May 2007 to be precise, this cell phone is a Dual Band, meaning it only receives on 900 and 1800 Mhz frequencies. In addition, there are several other connections: class 10 GPRS, class 6 EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and the USB port, as well as a Wap browser for connecting to the Internet. The display is 65,000-color, TFT type, with a resolution of 128x160 pixels.
Design and features
This is a cell phone with a standard design, or single-body, in which the display occupies the upper half of the body while the remaining space is taken up by the navigation pad and the keypad. The model stands out for its truly reduced weight: just 66 grams make it one of the lightest cell phones currently available. The dimensions are 105 x 45 x 9.9 mm, with a total volume of 45 cc. It comes with a 700 mAh lithium battery that guarantees a battery life of 310 hours in stand-by and 6 hours of talk time.
Main features
Integrated hands-free, calendar, calculator, organizer and converter, the common functions found on virtually all cell phones nowadays. In addition, this Nokia offers 24-tone polyphonic ringtones and MP3 format ringtones. Vibration can be activated with or without the ringtone. The phonebook can store 1000 contacts and can associate an image with each one. Messaging supports SMS with T9, MMS, e-mail and Instant Messaging.
Entertainment and multimedia
In terms of entertainment as well, the Nokia 2630 offers various resources. Starting with the FM radio, which, in the absence of a multimedia player, is the only way for the user to listen to music. There is also a camera, albeit low-resolution: it's a VGA with 0.3 Megapixel and 640x480 pixels as the maximum image resolution. It allows video recording at 128x96 pixels depending on available memory (the internal memory is 11 MB).
