Nokia 2626 review
Network and connections
Nokia 2626 is a "Dual-band" phone, capable of working on GSM frequencies of 900 and 1800 Mhz. GPRS and EDGE connectivity allows for reliable and secure data transfer, albeit not fast, due to the lack of support for third generation technologies. This terminal from the Finnish company does not offer any kind of direct connection, neither via cable to a computer (USB), nor through wireless connections (Bluetooth and IrDa). The display is passive matrix (CSTN), offers a resolution of 128x128 pixels and has 65536 colors. The battery is good.
Design and features
Nokia 2626 is a compact phone, with a standard "candybar" style design, with a one-piece body. It is a model with soft, rounded lines. Its dimensions are: 104 millimeters in height, 43 millimeters in width and 18 mm in thickness. The weight, on the other hand, is about 91 grams including the supplied battery. The antenna, being integrated into the body of the device, does not increase its overall dimensions and does not affect its handling. This phone is available in White, Purple, Blue and Brown colors.
Main features
The 2626 model offers the user various features. For example, it is possible to use the speakerphone during conversations, the calculator, the currency converter and the organizer. It is also possible to record Voice Memos, while voice calling functionality is not provided. Regarding messaging, Nokia 2626 allows the management of SMS, MMS and E-Mail. The T9 predictive text system also considerably helps the user in entering text. The internal memory is only 2 MB and is not expandable through additional cards.
Entertainment and multimedia
Nokia 2626 offers a wide range of ringtones already included, both monophonic and polyphonic, at 64 voices. It is also possible to enjoy ringtones and music tracks in MP3 and AAC format. The MPEG-4 video player further enhances the product's multimedia capabilities, as does the integrated AM/FM radio and support for Java games (J2ME). It is possible to download new content from the network through the WAP browser. This model, unfortunately, does not have an integrated camera.
