Nokia 2600 classic review
Network and connections
Nokia 2600 Classic is a cell phone very similar to the 2600 model, although with renewed lines. It features the primary characteristics of a Dual Band terminal, thus able to work on GSM frequencies of 900 and 1800 Mhz. Furthermore, Nokia 2600 Classic has GPRS data transfer technology, slow but reliable, and offers a wireless connection such as Bluetooth. The battery is good and the display is decent.
Design and features
Nokia 2600 Classic is a device with a classic look, in "candybar" style, that is, a one-piece body. It is a well-finished model, which stands out for its slimness and the simplicity of its controls. It has a built-in antenna, which does not affect its handling, and comes in black, blue, beige or orange coloring. The keypad is practical and comfortable, with numerous shortcuts for accessing the various menu functions. The weight is 73.2 grams.
Main features
Nokia 2600 Classic presents some interesting features from a voice point of view. There are, for example, the integrated speakerphone and multi-conference calling, to be able to talk with several people at the same time, as well as Voice Memo for recording voice notes. There are also many common options, such as the alarm clock, the clock, the agenda, the currency converter, the calculator, the countdown timer and the stopwatch. In the phonebook, moreover, it is possible to save content in memory for up to 1000 contacts. As for the messaging sector, this cell phone supports Sms, Mms and E-mail, with T9 predictive text.
Entertainment and multimedia
The entertainment sector is not, however, the richest of all. There is, for example, no possibility of listening to music on the go. Java games, on the other hand, are fun and downloadable from the network through the WAP browser. Customization options are very good, such as that of ringtones, as well as the possibilities for customizing images and wallpapers. Nokia 2600 Classic is unfortunately not equipped with a multimedia player, but it boasts an FM radio and a modest built-in camera of 0.3 Megapixels (640x480).
