Nokia 1209 review

Network and connections

It's a very recent cell phone but, for the period in which it was presented, it turns out to have very poor connection features. Not particularly equipped in terms of connectivity, in fact, the Nokia 1209 model qualifies as a Dual-Band cell phone, operating on GSM frequencies of 900 and 1800 Mhz, therefore with compatibility only. Nothing is added to this, neither the Wap browser nor the GPRS connection for connecting to the Network. It is therefore impossible to access multimedia content.

Design and features

The design is very traditional: at first glance it presents itself as a standard cell phone, very similar to models that were produced quite some time ago. The built-in display is of the CSTN type, displays 65,000 colors and has a resolution of 96x98 pixels, with 6 lines of text. The weight of this model is 79.9 grams. The dimensions are 102 mm in height, 44.1 mm in width x 17.5 mm in thickness. The total volume is 70.5 cc. Included is a 700 mAh lithium battery with a battery life of 365 hours in stand-by and 7 hours in talk time.

Main functions

Vibration and 32-tone polyphonic ringtones are features that make this Nokia model a bit more up to date. Further enriching the offer of functions in call and in stand-by, there are also the built-in speakerphone, Java support for games, the calendar and the calculator. Messaging supports SMS (up to 60), with the T9 predictive text system, but it does not allow managing e-mails or SMS.

Entertainment and multimedia

There are few concessions to leisure and entertainment. Apart from a few preinstalled games and others that can be added (although it is not possible to access the Network), there are no other resources for multimedia use or simply as a leisure tool. The musical aspect is nonexistent, given the absence of a media player and radio. There isn't even a camera. In short, a cell phone with basic functions.
