Motorola XT806 review

Network and connections
Another clamshell device for the Chinese market. The Motorola XT806 is equipped with a CDMA network receiver, which also supports 3G networks. A very valid tool, then, for communicating and surfing the Internet while on the move. The browser will only have to worry about correctly displaying HTML pages. There is also a Wi-Fi antenna. Of course, Bluetooth and USB support are not missing.

Design and features
Motorola is the queen of clamshell phones. So its skill is found once again in this XT806. The front part is in fact made up of a transparent flap that has a protective function. When closed, it allows you to view basic information on the display that remains inside. This is a TFT with Resistive Touch Screen technology. It can be used with the stylus, very handy and essential for writing ideograms. The dimensions are slightly larger than direct competitors, with a thickness of 18.6 mm and a weight of 165 grams.

Main features
The platform is Android by Google, synonymous with speed and ease of use. So on the XT806 you can quickly manage the contacts address book, organizer for appointments, calculator, alarm clock and currency converter. The simplified writing support really helps a lot in composing text, allowing you to write SMS and MMS without problems, as well as managing E-mail. You can also use Instant Messaging. There is also support for text and voice recognition in Chinese. The purely telephone-related aspect, on the other hand, offers speakerphone, voice recorder and multiconference support.

Entertainment and multimedia
The equipment is absolutely complete. In fact, there is a digital camera for taking photos or recording videos at a resolution of a full 5 megapixels, complete with LED Flash. There is also a multimedia player, as well as the possibility of listening to your favorite radio broadcasts thanks to the AM/FM radio receiver, complete with RDS function. You can manage polyphonic ringtones, which can also be downloaded from the Internet. Or use the pre-installed games during leisure moments. Also useful is the GPS receiver for integrating satellite functions. The memory available to the user is 250 MB, further expandable with microSD cards up to 32 GB.
