Network and connections
A new addition to the Motorola family for the Chinese market, this XT800 offers high quality. Speaking first of the technical characteristics, we can say that it is equipped with a Quadband GSM receiver. It operates in Dual Mode, to also support UMTS networks. Browsing the Internet is really fast, thanks to the internal HSDPA modem and the dedicated HTML browser. It is also possible to take advantage of distributed networks thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi antenna. Of course, the now widespread Bluetooth and the USB data cable output are not missing.
Design and features
The classic and elegant look in touch smartphone style gives an important feel thanks to the silver profile that rounds off the edges. This way the grip remains more comfortable, also thanks to the fairly compact dimensions. On the front is the display, a 3.7-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 16 million colors. It is also equipped with a Capacitive Touch Screen, for optimal content management. A few function keys help with quick use of the device. The lateral Slider body hides inside an extended Full QWERTY keyboard, very handy for managing text content.
Main features
The platform this device is equipped with is Google's Android OS v2. One immediately senses how excellent its aptitude for multimedia and network content is. It is in fact possible to sync your activities and updates with Facebook. You can also contact your friends via Instant Messaging, to exchange pictures or videos on YouTube without any problems. Java support also allows you to better customize this Motorola, installing compatible applications as you like. Writing text is really fast thanks to the dedicated keyboard. This way you can easily manage SMS, MMS and E-mail. Attachments will no longer be a problem, thanks to Office and PDF support. As for the phone features, you can use the speakerphone, the voice recorder and make multiconference calls. A dedicated camera also allows you to make video calls.
Entertainment and multimedia
The multimedia features are excellent, offering a wide choice of applications to use in your free time. You can take high quality photographs with the camera. It has a resolution of 5 megapixels and comes with Flash, digital Zoom and image editing functions. You can also record videos, to be stored thanks to the expandability of microSD cards up to 32 GB. Your favorite music and videos will always be at hand, to be played through the multimedia player with support for various formats. There is also an integrated GPS receiver, to add satellite functions, such as navigation or Geo-Tagging for photos.
