Motorola W375 review
Network and connections
Motorola W375 belongs to the category of Dual Band cell phones: it is in fact able to receive and make calls on two different GSM frequencies: 900 and 1800 Mhz. The phone has two types of data connection: EDGE and GPRS. To connect to a computer there is a USB interface, while wireless connections such as Bluetooth and IrDa are absent. The battery is good.
Design and features
Motorola W375 comes with a clamshell design. The phone is a small, compact and elegant object. The upper outer half of the body houses the small secondary screen and the camera; its inner side, on the other hand, is entirely occupied by the main display. The lower inner half is instead dedicated to the keypad, which has medium-sized keys. The phone is available in the "Cannon Grey", "Lustrous Silver" and "Mandarin Orange" color options.
Main features
During a conversation, Motorola W375 allows you to switch to hands-free mode by activating the convenient built-in speaker. However, it does not allow for conference calls, meaning communicating with multiple devices simultaneously. The phone unfortunately does not have a voice recorder, while the alarm clock, calculator and organizer prove to be indispensable. As for messaging, Motorola W375 supports most of the standards currently available: it is in fact able to receive and send Sms, Ems and Mms, all easily composed thanks to the iTap fast writing system. Its internal memory, unfortunately, is rather small, at 1.5 MB, and is not expandable.
Entertainment and multimedia
In terms of customization, Motorola W375 offers its users various options. You can in fact download new ringtones, various content and video games from WAP (thanks to Java J2ME support). Motorola W375 is also equipped with an AM/FM radio. It does not, however, have an MP3 player and cannot play video files. Finally, this model has a built-in VGA camera, which offers a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The device has a 4x digital zoom, but lacks a self-timer and flash.
