Motorola V177 review

Network and connections

This is a GSM Dual Band phone, which therefore uses the 900 and 1800 Mhz frequencies. EDGE and GPRS support for data transfer are present. Unfortunately this cell phone cannot be connected in any way to another device since both the USB port and wireless connectivity are missing. There are two displays: the external one is monochromatic while the internal one displays 65 thousand colors and offers a resolution of 128x160 pixels. The battery supplied is lithium-ion.

Design and features

Motorola V177 is a cell phone with a simple design, with a clamshell opening. The main functions are instantly accessible thanks to the function keys. As for the dimensions, this is a compact cell phone, despite the external antenna. Specifically it measures 88 millimeters in height, 47.5 millimeters in width and 24 millimeters in depth. The weight, including the battery, is 100 grams. The purchase kit includes a travel charger and user manual.

Main features

Motorola V177 offers several basic features and few advanced ones. The cell phone is in fact equipped with an alarm clock, calculator and organizer. It also allows the use of SMS, EMS, MMS, with an intuitive writing system, but not email. The memory, which unfortunately is not expandable, is only 1 MB.

Entertainment and multimedia

Motorola V177 offers very little in the field of leisure and entertainment. This cell phone does not have any music player and the only entertainment option is therefore represented by the various Java games. However, it should be noted that it is possible to download, thanks to the WAP browser, other games from the Internet in addition to the preinstalled ones. As for ringtones, there are several, polyphonic and 16-tone. Finally, the customization options for wallpapers and melodies are decent. Unfortunately there is no built-in camera.
