Motorola RAZR maxx V6 review
Network and connections
Here we are talking about the Maxx V6 version of the Motorola RAZR. The technical specifications boast a GSM Quadband receiver, which guarantees excellent reception in every part of the world. In addition, it has the ability to also take advantage of UMTS support, thanks to the Dual Mode functionality. As for wireless, it is equipped with Bluetooth, but not Wi-Fi support. However, it is possible to connect with other devices via the USB 2.0 cable. Browsing the Web is really convenient and fast, just like with home ADSL, thanks to HSDPA technology for data traffic, together with the integrated modem.
Design and features
The look of the RAZR Maxx V6 draws heavily on other Motorola models. It indeed features the classic clamshell opening, sturdy and at the same time lightweight thanks to the frame made of resistant materials. The weight is thus also kept low, at just 105 grams and a maximum thickness of 15 mm. This model features 2 LCD screens, with the same display of 262,000 colors for a resolution of 320x240 pixels. In particular, the outer one is equipped with Touch Screen technology. It is important to point out that the materials were studied in the lab to give the device great resistance, especially in the hinge area, built in die-cast aluminum.
Main features
The telephone side is quite complete, with integrated speakerphone, support for conference calling and voice recording. Thanks to the Crystal Talk function, it is possible to clean the sound from any external noise, so as to guarantee excellent voice quality. There are also utilities for managing appointments, such as synchronized organizer and calendar, as well as alarm clock, calculator and currency converter. There is no lack of support for common SMS and multimedia messages, as well as for sending and receiving E-mail. The operating system, although proprietary, allows for good customization of the device, thanks to Java support for installing compatible applications.
Entertainment and multimedia
For the entertainment sector, the RAZR Maxx V6 is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera that, thanks to Zoom up to 8X and an integrated Flash device, allows you to get good quality photos and videos. The memory available as standard is only 50 MB, but it can be expanded as desired with a microSD card. As for audio, you can use the multiformat player Windows Media Player 11, to listen to your favorite music at any time. The included 940 mAh battery guarantees operating autonomy of up to about 375 hours in Stand-by.
