Motorola RAZR2 V8 is a Quad-Band GSM cell phone, a device capable of receiving and making calls on four different frequencies: 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz. The phone features EDGE and GPRS connectivity for data transfer. Wireless Bluetooth technology is also present, allowing the use of wireless peripherals and data exchange with other compatible devices. Motorola RAZR2 V8 features two excellent quality screens: both at 240x320 pixels, which take advantage of a 262144-color TFT matrix.

Design and features

Motorola RAZR2 V8 belongs to the category of clamshell cell phones. Its dimensions are slightly above average: it is 107 millimeters long, about 53 millimeters wide and only 11.9 millimeters thick. Its weight is not among the most contained, 117 grams net of the battery. The back of the body is made of non-slip soft-touch material and the front is metallized. The frame is made of stainless steel and the display surface is chemically treated to resist scratches.

Main features

In call mode Motorola RAZR2 V8 offers a wide number of functions. Using the dedicated built-in speaker, it is possible to activate the speakerphone function, to make hands-free calls. It is also possible to talk with multiple terminals connected simultaneously using the multi-conference function. The Voice Memo instead allows you to jot down short voice memos and adds to the convenience of voice-command calling. As for messaging, Motorola RAZR2 V8 is up to date with all the major current standards: in fact it is possible to send and receive SMS, EMS, MMS and e-mail, each easily composed thanks to the simplified writing software. The base memory can be easily expanded via MicroSD cards.

Entertainment and multimedia

Motorola RAZR2 V8 features polyphonic ringtones, screensavers and Java games, with the ability to download new content through the built-in WAP browser. The phone also offers an MP3 player, capable of also playing AAC and AAC+ formats. Compatible movies, on the other hand, are in 3GP and MPEG4 format. Motorola RAZR2 V8 features a good digital camera. It boasts a resolution of 2.1 MegaPixels and allows you to take photographs at a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The device lacks a flash but has digital zoom and self-timer, as well as providing for the recording of video sequences.
