Motorola MOTOFONE F3 review

Network and connections

The new Motofone F3 handset, from the American company Motorola, is an entry-level GSM mobile phone, of the "Tri-band" type, meaning capable of operating on 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz frequencies. GPRS connectivity ensures a safe and reliable data transfer, even if not fast compared to what is offered by EDGE and UMTS devices. Motorola Motofone F3 does not offer any type of connectivity, either via cable or wireless. This peculiarity reflects negatively on it in the eyes of demanding users.

Design and features

Motorola Motofone F3 is an elegant and carefully designed model, aesthetically attractive, with a monoblock "candybar" design. It is a very thin and light phone, with a thickness of just 9 mm and a weight of 63 grams. This cell phone is available in the Black color and is equipped with an ultra-flat keyboard like all the latest Motorola models.

Main features

Motofone F3 offers the user several features. For example, built-in vibration is available, while hands-free use during calls is not provided. It is also not possible to record voice Memos, nor is the voice calling function present. Regarding messaging, the cell phone allows the management of Sms and Ems, with the help of the iTap facilitated system. However, since no type of network connection is possible, there is no Wap browser for accessing internet resources and it is not possible to use Mms messages and E-mail. The phone is finally equipped with alarm clock, calculator and clock functions.

Entertainment and multimedia

Motorola Motofone F3 offers some pre-installed ringtones, both monophonic and polyphonic, at 8 voices. It is also possible to enjoy ring tones in AMR format, but not music tracks in MP3 format or similar. Furthermore, this product does not have an integrated AM/FM radio and, unfortunately, no digital camera is present. There are, however, several games already installed, even though, due to the poor connectivity and the lack of Java (J2ME) support, it is not possible to obtain new ones. The technological equipment is quite scarce, the memory is not expandable and the display, although easily readable, is monochromatic. Ultimately, this is a product that does not allow for use beyond the most common possibilities offered by mobile telephony services.
