Motorola L7i review

Network and connections
A phone with a simple but dynamic design, suitable for every type of user who isn't looking for overly demanding solutions. The network receiver is a GSM Quadband, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. UMTS support is not present, however the internal modem, with GPRS data traffic management, allows you to browse the Internet without any problems. The dedicated HTML browser will take care of correctly displaying Web pages. Bluetooth is handy for exchanging files with other compatible devices. The USB data output, on the other hand, allows you to synchronize the device directly with your home PC.

Design and features
A classic Candybar with soft lines, with rounded edges to offer greater ergonomics in the grip. The keyboard is in classic Motorola style, with a glossy surface and keys on curved lines. The clickable directional pad is the true control center of the device. Above it is the display, a 176x220 pixel TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. The dimensions of the Motorola L7i are compact, with a thickness of 11.5 mm and a weight of 96 grams. The body in anodized aluminum guarantees resistance and reliability, with an eye to weight.

Main features
The proprietary platform offers complete and practical functions, such as the classic management features for contacts, organizer, calculator and alarm clock. Java support also allows you to install software as desired, thus adapting the L7i to your needs. Support for predictive text input is a great help in quickly handling SMS, multimedia messages and E-mail. As for phone specifications, there are hands-free, voice recorder and multiconference support. Interesting is the possibility of using the Push-to-Talk function with compatible devices. Finally, you can stay in touch with friends on the network, thanks to Instant Messaging.

Entertainment and multimedia

In moments of leisure, this Motorola L7i proves to be a good ally. It allows you to use the numerous pre-installed games or games downloaded from the Internet. The 1.3 megapixel digital camera allows you to take photos when needed, as well as record short videos. The memory available to the user is 20 MB, further expandable with microSD cards. In this way it will therefore be possible to carry your favorite audio and video files with you, to be played with the dedicated multimedia player. However, the AM/FM radio tuner is missing. The battery life guaranteed is good, up to 350 hours in Stand-by.
