Motorola L7 review
Network and connections
Motorola SLVR L7 is a Quad-band GSM mobile terminal. It is therefore able to operate on the 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz frequencies. The model also offers EDGE and GPRS connectivity, for safe and reliable data transfer. Also present are the USB port, for cable synchronization, and Bluetooth wireless technology, for use with wireless peripherals and file exchange with other users. The display built into the device is sharp and well-defined.
Design and features
Motorola SLVR L7 is a "candybar" type model, slim and attractive. The color is glossy black, with Silver inserts, enclosed in an elegant metal body. Its thickness is truly minimal, only 11.5 mm. The antenna is built into the structure of the device. The keypad is also original, of the so-called "etched plate" type: it is backlit and features metal finishes in addition to chrome-plated side keys.
Main features
Motorola SLVR L7 offers a wide range of features. It supports, obviously, most existing messaging formats: Sms, Ems, Mms, E-mail, always with the iTap facilitated writing system. SLVR L7 also offers standard functions such as organizer, voice commands, hands-free, and Voice Memo. Finally, worth mentioning is the voice-command calling option. Memory is 5 MB and can be expanded via Transflash expansion cards.
Entertainment and multimedia
Motorola SLVR L7 offers preinstalled Java (J2ME) games or games downloadable through the WAP browser, polyphonic ringtones, and a melody editor. The FM radio allows users to be entertained on the go, as does the MP3/AAC audio player, which is in addition to the built-in video player. Motorola SLVR L7 also allows users to take photographs using the 0.3 megapixel VGA digital camera. The photographs obtained offer a rather low resolution, up to 640x480 pixels. The device also features autofocus and 4x digital zoom, in addition to the built-in flash.
