Motorola L6 review
Network and connections
This is a Quad-band model capable of operating on four GSM frequencies: 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz, for an almost total network compatibility. Motorola SLVR L6 also features GPRS and EDGE connectivity for secure data network access, even if not as fast as 3G models. There is also wireless Bluetooth technology, in addition to USB cable technology, for connections with PCs, accessories and compatible devices. The display is decidedly of high quality, sharp and bright with 262000 colors. The included battery is also good.
Design and features
Motorola SLVR L6 is a "candybar" (single-body) phone, with an elegant design and an extremely slim structure. With just 11 mm of thickness, SLVR L6 is able to win over a wide range of users. Finally, the built-in antenna does not affect in any way the handling and portability of the device. The keyboard is also excellent.
Main features
Among the available features there is multiconferencing and "Push-To-Talk", thanks to which this phone can be used as if it were a walkie-talkie. Java (J2ME) technology allows the user to install new games and applications, also downloading them from the network through the built-in browser. As for messaging, this model supports Sms, Ems, Mms and E-mail, with iTAP assisted writing.
Entertainment and multimedia
Regarding the multimedia sector, Motorola SLVR L6 has an MP3 player but no built-in radio. The ringtones are 24-tone polyphonic and customizable as needed. SLVR L6 also has a built-in VGA camera, with a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels. It offers 4x digital zoom and self-timer, although, unfortunately, it lacks a flash. Finally, other features available to the user include an image editor and photo caller ID, for creating personalized and multimedia photo albums, to which audio can also be added.
