Motorola KRZR K1 review

Network and connections

Motorola KRZR K1 is a cell phone that catches the eye.
It is classified as Quad-Band, meaning it works on
four different frequencies: 850, 900, 1800 and 1900. This
guarantees network coverage in almost every part of the globe. The
model offers EDGE and GPRS data connectivity, for
stable but not very fast connections. Also available is
Bluetooth technology, which represents an important tool
for using wireless peripherals or for exchanging content
with other compatible devices. If instead you want to carry out
a synchronization via cable, the device has a
USB port available. This phone has two displays, one
of which (the internal one) is extremely sharp and clear.

Design and features

In terms of design, Motorola KRZR K1 is a beautiful
clamshell handset, meaning one with a shell-like opening. The beauty
and quality of the materials are enhanced by the reflective shell
and the bright colors. The dominant color tone is in fact blue
with Silver colored inserts. The other feature that stands out is the
extremely reduced thickness (only 16 mm), as well as the elegance
of the shapes and the rounded lines.

Main features

The new KRZR K1 allows you to use all the messaging formats
currently in vogue: Sms, Mms and E-mail.
Furthermore, in conversation mode, Motorola KRZR K1 offers
its users the possibility of activating the speakerphone function,
via the dedicated speaker. If instead you wish to speak
with several people simultaneously, you can take advantage of the
voice conference call function. Voice Memo allows you to
easily store sound sequences while the voice
dialing function allows you to make calls simply
by saying the name. Last but not least, the alarm clock, calculator
and organizer functions.

Entertainment and multimedia

As for the multimedia aspect, Motorola KRZR K1
offers its users multiple possibilities. Among these is the handy built-in
audio/video player, which is able to play
music files in MP3, AAC and AAC+ format, as well as MP4 and
3GP movies. The base memory is 20 MB and is in any case
expandable via microSD expansion cards. This
model also features a very good digital camera,
with a 2 MegaPixel sensor. This unfortunately lacks an
integrated flash function but allows the user to adjust
brightness and contrast, as well as make use of 8x digital zoom.
Lastly, KRZR K1 offers Java compatibility, for maximum
support for next-generation games and applications.
