Motorola Grasp WX404 review

Network and connections
Not a smartphone, but a simple phone geared toward ease of use and adaptability to any need. The Grasp WX404 is equipped with CDMA network support for the USA. Coverage proves to be very good and it also supports 3G networks. Bluetooth proves excellent for communicating with other compatible devices, making it easy to exchange files and data. You can also count on the USB 2.0 output to sync with a PC via data cable. The Wi-Fi antenna, however, is absent. Comfort and speed are instead guaranteed when browsing the Internet.

Design and features
An unusual device for its colors and rounded brick-like shape. But what matters most is the attention to environmental impact. Indeed, recycled materials were used, respecting the environment. On the front is the screen, a 2.2-inch TFT with 65,000 colors. Below it is the extended QWERTY keyboard, small but fairly comfortable to use. A directional pad helps manage operations. The weight is quite light, only 105 grams, allowing for very good portability.

Main features
The entire management of the phone is geared toward speed and ease of use. That's why the menus are intuitive and practical, making it quick to use the various functions. The basic management utilities are complete, with a contacts address book, calendar for appointments, alarm clock, and calculator. The call audio quality is good, even on speakerphone. There's also a voice recorder and multi-conference support. Java support allows you to install small applications, partly customizing your device. Composing SMS and multimedia messages is fast, with T9 support for easier typing. The most important Social Networks are also supported.

Entertainment and multimedia
For leisure moments, the digital camera proves useful, with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. There's also a media player, for some entertainment in your free time with your favorite music and videos. Plus, some fun games always come in handy during a trip. Available memory can rely on microSD card support, for a capacity of up to 8 GB. GPS support is handy, integrating satellite features into the phone. Battery life is decidedly good, lasting up to 432 hours in Standby.
