Network and connections
An undisputed quality from Motorola, offered also in a complete and functional phone that maintains a good market price. The network receiver of the Flipside MB508 is a GSM Quadband, on frequencies of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. It also supports UMTS channels. To browse the Internet you can rely on the fast HSDPA modem, unbeatable for mobile telephony. The browser will only have to worry about correctly displaying HTML pages. Also present is the antenna for Wi-Fi networks. Of course Bluetooth and USB support are not missing.

Design and features
A solid body that is still well finished. The front is made up of a 3.1-inch TFT screen, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. It is also equipped with Capacitive Touch Screen technology, for quick and intuitive management of every content. An important role is played by the Motoblur UI with Live Widget interface, equipped with proximity and auto-rotation sensors. The dimensions are in line with the main competitors, with 15 mm of thickness and 145 grams of weight. There is also a multifunction trackpad and other dedicated keys for managing the phone.

Main features
The platform is absolutely complete. On the Flipside MB508 you can therefore quickly manage the contacts list, appointment organizer, calculator, alarm clock and currency converter. The support for predictive text input really helps a lot in composing text, so you can write SMS and MMS without problems, as well as managing E-mail. You can also use Instant Messaging. It is also possible to use online applications, such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The purely telephonic side, on the other hand, offers the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for video calling.

Entertainment and multimedia
The set of features is absolutely complete. There is in fact a digital camera for taking photos or recording videos at a resolution of 3.2 megapixels, complete with LED Flash. There is also a multimedia player, as well as the possibility of listening to your favorite radio broadcasts thanks to the AM/FM radio receiver, complete with RDS function. You can manage mp3 ringtones, which can also be downloaded from the Internet. Or use the pre-installed games during leisure time. Also useful is the GPS receiver to integrate satellite functions. The memory available to the user is 150 MB, further expandable with microSD cards up to 32 GB.
