Network and connections
Motorola offers a low-end Touch Screen device, aimed also at a wider distribution in poorer emerging markets. The network receiver is a GSM Dualband, operating on 900 and 1800 MHz frequencies. UMTS support is missing, even though signal coverage remains good, albeit at a local level. An internal modem for GPRS data traffic is present, ensuring operability on the Internet. The WAP browser will take care of opening pages. To exchange data with compatible devices, Bluetooth is present. Additionally, you can sync with your home PC via USB cable.
Design and features
Simple and essential lines, rounded edges to offer a secure and comfortable grip. Compact dimensions for great portability: 14.2 mm thick and 139 grams in weight. The front is occupied by the large screen, a 2.8-inch TFT, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. Just below are a directional pad and the keys for managing calls. The keyboard is not physical, but virtual. It appears directly on the screen and can be used through the Touch Screen sensors. This makes managing applications through finger touches very easy.
Main features
Despite being a low-end device, the functions offered in standard mode are complete and easy to use. Java support also allows you to customize your device by installing compatible applications. Predictive text helps when composing messages, also making it easier to manage E-mails. As for purely telephone functions, you can count on hands-free, voice recorder, and support for multi-call.
Entertainment and multimedia
The technical features in the entertainment department are also good. The integrated 3.2 megapixel camera delivers quality images, thanks also to digital zoom and flash. Autofocus and brightness adjustment functions are also present. The camera also allows you to record short videos, to be saved in expandable memory via microSD cards. Pre-installed games allow for fun leisure moments, and it is also possible to download more from the network. The media player, on the other hand, plays audio and video files in various formats.
