Motorola CUPE review
Network and connections
A device accessible to everyone offered by Motorola, to provide a valid and functional alternative to the customer looking for simplicity and essentiality. The Cupe is equipped with a GSM Quadband network receiver, which provides excellent coverage during any travel. Also present is UMTS support in Dual Mode. To browse the Internet there is the fast HSDPA modem, to open HTML pages just like with home ADSL. Also present is the convenient Bluetooth for exchanging data with compatible devices, in addition to the USB 2.0 cable.
Design and features
The aesthetic look is distinctive, with grooves and contrasts of materials almost like a phone worthy of a 007. The body opens in a clamshell fashion, so as to reduce dimensions and offer greater protection to the internal display. The latter is a 2.4-inch TFT capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. Also inside is the standard alphanumeric keypad, together with a silver-colored multifunction pad. The outer front section instead features a monochrome auxiliary display, handy for viewing basic information such as time, battery charge and caller number.
Main features
The menus are simple and intuitive to use for best managing every operation, and are always very popular with those who are not looking for overly refined and complicated devices. So on the Motorola Cupe you can quickly manage the contacts address book, an organizer for appointments, calculator, alarm clock and currency converter. The support for simplified writing really helps a lot when composing text, so you can write SMS and MMS without problems, while E-mail is not supported. The purely telephone-related side instead offers the speakerphone, the voice recorder and support for multi-conferencing.
Entertainment and multimedia
The set of features is simple but nonetheless complete. In fact, there is a digital camera for taking photos or recording videos at a resolution of 3.2 megapixels. A multimedia player is also present. The T-DMB TV Tuner is interesting. No space problems thanks to expandable memory via microSD cards, for saving personal files to carry with you at any time. Nothing to complain about regarding battery life, in line with the main competitors.
