Micromax X250 review

Network and connections
Another Micromax device with Dual SIM support, at a low price to satisfy a large market segment. But let's first look at the technical features of the X250. It is equipped with a Dualband GSM receiver, on 900 and 1800 MHz frequencies. Signal coverage is good, although it does not allow for intercontinental travel. UMTS support is missing, but it is still possible to browse the Internet thanks to the internal GPRS/EDGE modem. This way the browser will be able to display the relevant pages without any problems. The classic Bluetooth is also very handy, for exchanging files with compatible devices.

Design and features
The exterior look is classic and clean, without lines that are too heavy or imposing. The Candybar body keeps dimensions compact, with 15.2 mm of thickness for 76 grams of weight. The edges are rounded to ensure a good grip in any situation. The front houses a 176x220 pixel TFT display, capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. Just below is the classic clickable directional pad, with its function keys. The alphanumeric keyboard is flat, with keys that are comfortable to use.

Main features
The proprietary platform is complete as well as simple and intuitive to use. It is possible to easily write text messages and MMS thanks to T9 support for easy writing. As already mentioned, the X250 allows the use of two SIMs at the same time: this way you can have two phone numbers on the same phone. As for the telephone aspect, there is no shortage of speakerphone, voice recorder for Voice Memo, and multiconference support.

Entertainment and multimedia
A basic phone that is nevertheless capable of offering complete solutions for any user. Hence the presence of a digital camera as well, with VGA resolution. The photos taken will be of acceptable quality, still handy in case of need. It is also possible to record short videos. The multimedia player is also present, with support for various audio and video formats. Internal memory is expandable up to 8 GB via microSD cards. The AM/FM radio tuner is also present. Good battery life is guaranteed, up to 480 hours in Stand-by.
