LG KF900 Prada 2 review
Network and connections
A high-quality device, derived from the predecessor KE850 but improved in functionality and design. The KF900 is equipped with notable technical features, such as the GSM Quadband network receiver, capable of working in Dual Mode to also take advantage of UMTS connections. In this way signal coverage will always be optimal in any part of the world. Nothing is really missing for browsing the Internet; the internal modem manages data traffic in HSPDA, allowing speeds equal to home ADSL. The HTML browser will only need to worry about opening pages smoothly. Also convenient is the Wi-Fi support for distributed networks. Bluetooth and USB 2.0 data output are not missing either.
Design and features
Simple but elegant lines, which make the KF900 Prada II stand out in any situation. It is able to distinguish itself as a true fashion accessory, thanks to its fine finishes. The structure opens with a sliding mechanism, which reveals an extended QWERTY keyboard inside. On the front, however, is the large 3-inch display, capable of displaying up to 256,000 colors. It is equipped with Touch Screen technology, which allows optimal management of all functions. The dimensions are in line with the average of direct competitors: 16.8 mm thickness for 129 grams of weight. The sales package includes earphones and the data cable.
Main features
A proprietary but decidedly complete platform, the one offered with the KF900 Prada II. You can find all the common management tools, such as contact list, appointment calendar, alarm clock and calculator. The menus are really convenient and intuitive to manage, thanks above all to the touch navigation given by the touch-sensitive screen. Simplified text input is convenient for managing SMS and multimedia messages, as well as E-mail with attachments. The functions dedicated to telephony include speakerphone, voice recorder and multiconference support. A dedicated camera also allows you to make video calls.
Entertainment and multimedia
The complete and functional qualities of this device also boast excellent multimedia capabilities. Here, in fact, is the presence of a complete audio/video player, capable of supporting most formats. It also allows you to play your favorite radio broadcasts, thanks to the AM/FM receiver. To capture images and videos, you can instead use the rear camera, with a resolution of 5 megapixels and Schneider-Kreuznach optics; it allows you to obtain excellent quality photographs, also thanks to a series of dedicated applications. The memory available for file storage is 60 MB, expandable via microSD cards up to 16 GB. Portability is also excellent, guaranteed by the lithium battery with up to 400 hours of Stand-by.
