I-Mate Jam uses as CPU the powerful Intel processor with clock speed of 416 Mhz. As for memory capacity, this SmartPhone has 64 MB of SDRAM and 64 MB of ROM. I-Mate Jam is a device that operates in Tri-Band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz mode. It supports GPRS connectivity for data transfer. In addition, it is equipped with a USB port, IrDa compatibility and Bluetooth. The connection ports on the handheld's body are perfectly hidden within the device's lines. The battery is very good.
Design and equipment
The layout is essential yet elegant and carefully detailed. Above all stands out the use of high quality materials and, in particular, the treated aluminum chassis, with its ultra-compact shape and rounded profiles. The dimensions are 108x58x18 mm, and the weight is 150 grams including the battery. Finally, included in the purchase package are: stereo earphones with microphone, spare stylus, AC adapter, USB sync cable, case, synchronization software on CD-ROM, printed documentation and user manual.
Main features
I-Mate Jam adopts a 2.8" Touch-screen LCD display, based on TFT technology. The overall resolution is 240x320 pixels with 65,536 colors. I-Mate Jam also uses Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket Pc Phone Edition as its operating system. Also installed, as standard software in "Mobile" version, are all the main releases of the Microsoft package: Outlook 2002, Word, Excel, Windows Media Player 10, Internet Explorer and MSN Messenger. It supports the main forms of messaging: SMS, MMS and E-mail. The memory expansion slot is compatible with Secure Digital/MultiMedia Card cards.
Entertainment and multimedia
The Windows Media Player 10 multimedia player is compatible with MP3 music files and with numerous other audio and video formats (WMV, AVI, MPG). The device also incorporates a 1.3 MegaPixel digital camera, which allows images to be captured at a maximum resolution of 1280x960 pixels. It is also possible to record videos at 640x480 pixels with 15 frames per second.
