ASUS MyPal A730 review

ASUS MyPal A730 is equipped with the Intel XScale PXA270 processor with a clock speed of 520MHz, capable of ensuring all the computing power required by applications and 3D games, high-quality video playback, and excellent power savings. The new ASUS Pocket PC also features 64MB of SDRAM memory and 64MB of Flash ROM, which allow for the storage of a large amount of data and the installation of numerous applications, as well as a camera capable of taking pictures at a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. The display is a 65,536-color 'transflective' TFT of 3.7 inches with a resolution of 640x480 pixels (VGA) and is able to deliver high definition and good readability even in less than optimal light conditions.

ASUS MyPal A730 also has an audio jack for stereo headphones and MP3, and two slots capable of accommodating a CompactFlash TM (CF) type II card and a Secure Digital (SD) card with SDIO support. Furthermore, an optional USB host cable is available, which allows the handheld to be connected to USB devices such as, for example, flash memories, Hard Disks, and keyboards. As for connectivity, it is equipped with an infrared port and Bluetooth technology, capable of ensuring easy and fast wireless connections with different types of devices. The integrated WLan technology (IEEE 802.11b) allows network connection wirelessly even through hot spots, public or private, based on the 802.11b (or higher) broadband standard located in numerous airports, hotels, convention centers, and public venues.
