Apple iPhone UMTS/HSDPA review

Network and connections
Here is the much-awaited iPhone 3G HSDPA, which brings notable improvements over the old base version, never marketed in Italy. First of all, the main differences are found precisely in the network connections. This model is indeed a GSM Triband Dual Mode. Signal coverage is thus excellent in any situation thanks also to UMTS support. This also allows for an extremely fast connection to the Internet, exploiting HSDPA data traffic management. Every HTML page is therefore opened without problems and in a short time by the dedicated Safari browser. The Web is also available thanks to even faster Wi-Fi support. The USB cable and Bluetooth connection are instead convenient for connecting to other devices.

Design and features
The classic iPhone design, elegant and refined in its extreme simplicity. Soft lines on the edges to provide ergonomics in the grip, as well as ease of use in handling. The thin thickness of 12.3 mm, with a weight of 133 grams. These are the characteristics that give greater portability, while still containing great potential. The front is entirely occupied by the screen, a 3.5-inch Multi-Touch widescreen. The colors displayed are 16 million, for incredible images without comparison. Everything can be managed with a simple intuitive touch of the fingers, together with a context-sensitive multifunction button.

Main features
A true Smartphone complete with any application, further expandable at will by downloading software even from the Internet. Every function proves absolutely easy to use, intuitive and immediate. It is also possible to view documents in the most common formats, such as Office and PDF. The ambient light sensor is interesting, saving energy by adjusting the screen.

However, it still manages to take good quality photographs, to be included in presentations and photo albums. The screen's accelerometer allows for automatic orientation of images, based on the tilt of the iPhone. Numerous applications are thus paired with this sensor, such as fun games, which exploit precisely the accelerometer's sensitivity for their operation. The music sector, on the other hand, is truly complete, just like a real
