Apple iPhone 3G review
Think about how nice it would be if a small and discreet portable device could pack in the ability to make calls, watch movies, photos, and pictures in ultra high definition, large memory capacities (starting from as much as 8GB!), take photos, listen to music, find your way via satellite maps while traveling, connect to the internet, and all of this thanks to a touch-screen system ... Well, Apple has succe eded and has recently created this device that represe nts a bit of the future and the new path taken by those devices that it would now be outdated to still ca ll cell phones but rather multi media devices.
Design and features
One could talk endlessly about the look of this device, plea sant, technological and elega nt, but above all essential, thanks to the T ouch-Screen system the only visible button is the navigation one, the other commands will appear on the screen-menu. Even more compact than a p alm device, yet it surprises with the refinement of its details. The 3.5'' display also works as a keyboard once you have accessed the menu through which all op erations are carried out, with active matrix TF T technology, 320X480p resolution and a truly top-notch color range, no less than 16 million. Integrated antenna and Bluetooth (2.0) also integ rated, Wi-Fi system (802.11b /g). Connectivity is ensu red by a quadband GSM system (850/9 00/1800/1900) and the brand-newest generation UMTS , and the most significant novelty is represented by the even newer 3G technology which, in simple terms, offers greater band width, resulting in remarkable sp eed in data exchange and file downloads (with a speed of up to 384 Kbps, which is equal to about seven times wh at you could get with a connection offered by a tra ditional modem).
The weight comes to 133gr. and the measurements are 115.5x62 .1x12.3mm. Power is supplied by a powerful lithium battery with an autonomy of 300 hours in stand by. Mac technology also for the operating system, of course ( Mac OS X).
Of course a useful 2 megapixel camera (1600 x 1200 pixel resolution) could not be missing.

Entertainment and multimedia
Needless to say, the multimedia player is a close rela tive of the well-known I-Pod with all its featu res of high playback quality, ease of access and management, featur es that, combined with the brilliance offered by the screen, greatly enhance the enjoyment of your favorite tracks, whether audio or video, the supported formats a re 3GP, AAC, MP3, MP4, WAV.
Notable is the menu function called "sa fari" which is nothing more than an ultra-fast browser through which this little Ap ple device takes you surfing the web with a few and very intuitive gestures (plus a handy option to sync bookmarks from your PC or Mac browser). It offers a very handy "mapping" feature that trav
