Alcatel OT-111 review
Network and connections
the OT-111 is the ideal phone for those who want practicality and functionality, without investing too much money. An excellent companion in everyday life, with a Dualband GSM receiver that guarantees good network coverage. It is not equipped with additional network support; GPRS and UMTS are therefore missing. As for connecting with other devices, you can use the USB data cable output. Bluetooth, on the other hand, is not available.
Design and features
Alcatel OT 111 catches the eye right away, thanks to the distinctive colors of the casing. The keyboard with essential shapes is comfortable for composing text, thanks to keys that are thin but well spaced apart. The edges are rounded, so as to guarantee a more secure grip and uncompromising handling. The dimensions are truly compact, 12.5 mm thick for just 60 grams of weight. The screen is absolutely essential, STN at 94x68 pixels with monochrome display. The phone also comes with a battery that lasts up to 290 hours in Stand-by.
Main features
The platform is from the manufacturer itself, already supplied in standard configuration with basic functionality. However, Java support is not present, which would allow installing small applications and games to expand this Alcatel's functionality. When receiving a call, you can set profiles with vibration, useful especially in private situations. With the S621 you can send and receive SMS, but not multimedia messages and E-mail. Predictive text with T9 proves to be an excellent ally for quickly composing text.
Entertainment and multimedia
This phone with simple functionality was designed as an excellent tool for making phone calls, but not for personal entertainment. There is therefore not much to say in this department, because both the camera and the media player are missing. However, you can use some simple pre-installed games, to fill a break time in an entertaining way.
