Network and connections
A simple but fairly complete phone, to meet the needs of users looking for practicality. The technical features of the One Touch 660 include a GSM Dualband receiver, on frequencies of 900 and 1800 MHz. Signal coverage is satisfactory, however it does not allow for long international travel. UMTS support is missing, but it is still possible to browse the Internet via the GPRS modem, to open WAP pages with the dedicated browser. To exchange data with other devices you can use the very convenient wireless Bluetooth, or the USB 2.0 data cable output.
Design and features
A young and dynamic style, to fit without any problem into any context. The clamshell body makes this Alcatel compact and contained, with a thickness of 19.4 mm and a weight of just 82 grams. Portability is therefore uncompromised, comfortable even in a pants pocket. The display is internal, a 128x160 pixel TFT capable of displaying up to 65,000 colors. The keyboard is also kept protected on the inside, with keys that are comfortable to use to best manage every function. Finally, the rounded edges guarantee a secure and comfortable grip.
Main features
The proprietary platform offers complete basic features, so you can comfortably manage contacts, calendar appointments, and alarms with repeat function. You will also find a calculator, currency converter, and stopwatch. Java support also allows you to install compatible software, to better customize your device. Support for predictive text input allows you to easily manage SMS and multimedia messages. The purely telephone-related side instead offers the speakerphone, the voice recorder, and support for multi-conferencing.
Entertainment and multimedia
To complete the description of the Alcatel One Touch 660, let's now talk about the multimedia side. With this phone it is possible to take photographs, thanks to the 1.3 megapixel camera. The images will be of decent quality, with the possibility of also recording short video clips. The memory available in the standard configuration is 10 MB. It can however be expanded via microSD cards up to 2 GB. This way you will have the possibility to carry your favorite music with you, to be played with the dedicated multimedia player. There is also an AM/FM radio receiver, to listen to radio broadcasts on the go. Battery life is good, with autonomy of up to 400 hours in Stand-by.
